Beware! Rescuing a Bully will make
your heart melt.
Why Bullies?
Growing up in Bali, you somehow βget usedβ to seeing all the heartbroken animals - but it never gets easier. Eight years ago, I decided to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome as many street dogs as I could. Soon after, I noticed the large amounts of pitbulls coming through my door.
Like most parts of the world, pitbulls in Bali have a negative reputation, and most dog shelters arenβt willing to rescue them.
Western breeds are considered trophy dogs in Bali and are caged or chained in backyards. Most of them have never left their cage before, so they arenβt socialised and donβt know what a normal home is like.
Thatβs where Bali Bully Rescue helps.
Having grown up with bully breeds from the age of 6,
it broke my heart to see so many of them were neglected and abused in Bali.
Thatβs when I decided to focus on rescuing only bullies.

Where does the money go?
A mandatory checkup and sterilization costs about $300 USD.
Food costs $50-80 USD a month per dog.
USD $35,000 already donated so we could buy land for the Rescue Centre.
USD $50,000 still needed to build the centre, which will house 60 dogs.
The Bali Bully Rescue Center
Our rescue center is a safe haven for our dogs, where they can recover surrounded by peace and love.
How We Rescue Baliβs Bullies
Once we have a bully in our care, we work alongside the best vet in Bali to get them back to full health. This includes:
Blood tests
Sterilization
Deworming
Vaccinations
Tick treatment
Any other treatments they may need
Once the dogs have been treated by the vet, I bring them to my home and they have time to heal and build up trust with me.
I then evaluate their character and bring in my K9 trainers and behaviourists. I have to make sure I choose the right trainer for the right temperament of the dog in order to give them the best head start.
